KPK Updates Number of Suspects in BPK Bribery Case to Five
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has clarified that the number of suspects in an alleged bribery case concerning the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) findings on several procurements within the Muara Enim Regency Government, South Sumatra Province, is five.
Previously, during an interview on Thursday (11/6) afternoon, KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that four people had been named as suspects based on the sufficiency of evidence obtained during a recent sting operation and intensive examinations of several parties. In earlier reports, the four suspects were Muara Enim Regent Edison; 2026 Secretary of the Education and Culture Office Abi Nurwardani; BPK Civil Servant Titin Rita Lestari; and a private party named Augus Dwianggara, alias Angga.
However, at an evening press conference, Acting Director of Investigation at the KPK Achmad Taufik Husein confirmed that five people have been named as suspects. “We are correcting this, perhaps the Spokesperson has not received an update from the team. So, for the sting operation yesterday, we named five suspects,” Taufik said.
The suspects are Edison, and Cory Erin Hardi and Fika from PT Millenium Solusi Abadi (MSA), who are alleged to have given bribes. The other two individuals, suspected of receiving bribes, are BPK civil servant and technical controller Titin Rita Lestari and private party Augusz Dewanggara, alias Angga. The last name is believed to be a confidant of a BPK Member V with the initials BAR.
“FK [Fika] has been named a suspect and will be followed up in the subsequent investigation process,” said Taufik at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Thursday (11/6). This bribery crime is reportedly related to a BPK audit of the Muara Enim Regency Government’s financial statements for the 2025 fiscal year.
For their actions, Edison, Cory, and Fika are charged under Article 605 letter a and/or letter b of Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments and/or Article 606 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Adjustment Law in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP). Meanwhile, Angga and Titin are charged under Article 12 letter a or letter b or Article 11 of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption (UU Tipikor) and/or Article 606 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Adjustment Law in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of the KUHP.
The KPK subsequently detained the suspects for an initial 20-day period from 10 to 29 June 2026, at the KPK’s Red and White Building branch detention centre. The case is a follow-up to a sting operation conducted by the KPK in the Jakarta and South Sumatra regions related to alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services and the acceptance of gratuities for the 2025-2026 fiscal year within the Muara Enim Regency Government. Of the ten people arrested, four were initially named as suspects, with the rest remaining as witnesses. Those initial suspects were Regent Edison, Education and Culture Office Secretary Abi Nurwardani, regent’s confidant Adi Triyadi, and private party Cory Erin Hardi from PT Millenium Solusi Abadi.
