The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has discovered alleged manipulation of audits by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) beyond the case in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. Acting Director of KPK Investigations, Achmad Taufik Husein, stated that the suspicion arose from evidence seized during a search related to a bribery case involving BPK findings on several procurements within the Muara Enim Regency Government. In that case, there was an alleged scheme to alter the audit opinion from Qualified (WDP) to Unqualified (WTP). “As for other BPK examination activities, based on the search results found by the investigation team at the representative office, the team also discovered similar activities outside of Muara Enim,” Taufik said at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Tuesday evening. Taufik added that investigators are currently probing whether there are criminal elements behind the BPK audit findings for other regions. “We will provide an update if there are further developments in the investigation,” he said. In the Muara Enim case, KPK searched the residence of BPK Member V Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi in Cipete, South Jakarta, on 13-14 July 2026, seizing electronic evidence believed to be related to the case. Bobby was also questioned as a witness on Thursday, 16 July 2026. Previously, the KPK had also searched the BPK South Sumatra office, seizing evidence including audit working papers and documents detailing the changes from WDP to WTP findings specifically for the Muara Enim Regency Government, as well as documents related to attempts to alter the findings again following the KPK’s sting operation, and indications of intervention from the central BPK to change the audit results. The KPK has named five suspects and placed them in custody. Three are suspected of giving bribes: Muara Enim Regent for the 2025-2030 period, Edison, and two individuals from PT Millenium Solusi Abadi (MSA), Cory Erin Hardi and Fika. Two others are suspected of receiving bribes: BPK civil servant and technical controller Titin Rita Lestari, and private sector party Augusz Dewanggara, also known as Angga, who is said to be a close associate of Bobby. The KPK is currently investigating the relationship between the two.
