KPK Uncovers Alleged BPK Audit Manipulation Beyond Muara Enim
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has found suspected conditioning of audits by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) outside Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province.
Acting Director of Investigation at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, said the suspicion was discovered from the results of searches in a bribery case involving BPK findings on several procurement projects within the Muara Enim Regency Government.
There, there is suspected tampering of the audit opinion, from ‘Fair With Exceptions’ (WDP) to ‘Fair Without Exceptions’ (WTP).
“Then, for BPK activities in other audits, because the search results found by the investigation team at the representative office — the team also found similar activities outside Muara Enim,” Taufik said at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Tuesday evening (21 July).
Taufik said the investigation team is still examining whether there are criminal elements behind the BPK audit findings for other regions.
“We will provide updates if there are developments in the investigation,” Taufik said.
In the Muara Enim case, the KPK searched the residence of Member V of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia, Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, in Cipete, South Jakarta, on 13–14 July 2026. Investigators seized electronic evidence suspected to be linked to the case.
Bobby was also questioned as a witness on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
Previously, the KPK had also searched the BPK South Sumatra office. Items seized included audit working paper documents, records of changes from WDP to WTP findings, specifically for the Muara Enim Regency Government.
In addition, there were documents relating to attempts to make changes after the KPK’s sting operation, as well as indications of alleged intervention from BPK headquarters to alter the findings.
The KPK has already processed five people legally as suspects and placed them in detention at the State Detention House (Rutan).
Three are suspected bribe-givers: Muara Enim Regent for the 2025–2030 period, Edison, as well as parties from PT Millenium Solusi Abadi (MSA), namely Cory Erin Hardi and Fika.
The other two are suspected bribe recipients: a BPK civil servant who also served as technical controller, Titin Rita Lestari, and Augusz Dewanggara, alias Angga, a private individual. Angga is said to be a close associate of Bobby. The KPK is investigating the relationship between the two.
