The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has transferred the case files, evidence, and suspects in the alleged corruption case involving additional hajj quotas for 2023–2024 to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (14/7/2026). This second-stage transfer signifies the completion of the investigation process, meaning the case will soon proceed to trial at the Corruption Court (Tipikor). Among those handed over was former Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. The KPK also transferred several other suspects believed to be involved in the case, including former Special Staff to the Minister of Religious Affairs Ishfah Abidal Aziz, also known as Gus Alex, former General Chairman of the Kesthuri Association and former Commissioner of PT Raudah Eksati Utama Asrul Azis Taba, and former Maktour Operations Director Ismail Adham. Investigators assessed that all the evidence met the requirements to bring the case to the prosecution stage.
