KPK Traces Inactive Mayor of Madiun's Assets Through His Wife

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is delving into the asset ownership of inactive Madiun Mayor Maidi through the examination of his wife, Yuni Setyawati, as a witness in the suspected corruption case ensnaring her husband.

“In the continuation of the Madiun case investigation, the Mayor’s wife was questioned regarding the ownership of assets belonging to Mr M (Maidi),” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Yuni Setyawati was examined by KPK investigators on 12 May 2026.

“Investigators will certainly consider whether to coordinate for rescheduling or issue a second summons letter later,” Budi stated.

Previously, on 19 January 2026, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) against Maidi related to alleged receipt of project kickbacks and corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds in Madiun City.

The KPK revealed that there are two case clusters in the matter, namely alleged extortion related to project kickbacks and CSR funds, as well as alleged gratification receipt within the Madiun City Government.

In the first cluster, the alleged extortion implicates Maidi and Rochim Ruhdiyanto as suspects. Meanwhile, in the second cluster, the alleged gratification implicates Maidi along with Thariq Megah.
