KPK to verify wealth reports

JAKARTA: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is
expected to start on Tuesday the actual verification of wealth
reports submitted by state officials.

As of Monday, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and
Security Affairs Widodo Adi Sucipto, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Hassan Wirayuda, Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Fahmi
Idris and Attorney General Abdul Rahman Saleh are the only
members of the 35-strong United Indonesia Cabinet who have not
declared their wealth.

M. Jasin, the director of the commission's wealth report
division said on Monday the antigraft body would probe sources of
the officials' wealth during the verification.

The KPK has publicly announced the wealth of 300 councillors
from East Java, West Nusa Tenggara and Central Java. -- Antara
