The KPK will conduct the examinations at the Pekalongan City Police headquarters from 17 to 19 June 2026. Among those summoned is Pekalongan Regional Secretary M Yulian Akbar. Acting Regent Sukirman confirmed the schedule and stated that no special conditioning or directives have been given to the civil servants, though administrative arrangements have been made to ensure the continuity of government operations. He called on all those summoned to be cooperative and transparent, emphasising the local government’s respect for the legal process.

The investigation stems from the case against non-active Regent Fadia Arafiq, who has been named a suspect in a corruption scandal involving the procurement of goods and services, as well as outsourcing projects within the Pekalongan Regency administration. The probe has uncovered allegations that an outsourcing project worth approximately Rp46 billion was directed to PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya, a company affiliated with Arafiq’s husband and child. Investigators suspect that funds from the project flowed to Arafiq, her family members, and close associates, with evidence of cash withdrawals amounting to billions of rupiah. It is also alleged that Arafiq instructed her household assistant to serve as a director of the company.
