The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled the questioning of the Speaker of the Bengkulu City DPRD, Herimanto, and Deputy Speaker Rahmad Widodo for Monday (7/9).

The questioning relates to the development of an investigation into alleged corruption involving bribes connected to procurement projects at the Rejang Lebong Regency Government and other areas of Bengkulu Province.

“Today investigators have scheduled the questioning of witnesses RW and HRM, both of whom are members of the Bengkulu City DPRD,” said KPK Spokesman Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Monday (7/9).

“The questioning is scheduled to take place at the KPK’s Merah Putih building,” he added.

Earlier, on Friday (4/9), the KPK questioned Bengkulu City DPRD member Bambang Hermanto to explore the planning and approval of budgets for projects within Bengkulu City.

Bambang was also asked about alleged payments of money he had received.

Meanwhile, on 4 and 10 August 2026, the KPK also questioned Bengkulu City DPRD member Vinna Ledy Anggraheni.

That questioning was to explore Vinna Ledy’s knowledge of procurement activities in Bengkulu City.

Statements from the witnesses will be reviewed, analysed and cross-checked against other witness testimony, including findings from searches, to help investigators construct the case in full.

As the investigation proceeds, the KPK has seized a luxury house in South Jakarta and a car belonging to Vinna Ledy.

The KPK also stated that Vinna Ledy is suspected of having received money from projects carried out by the Bengkulu City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (Dinas PUPR) as well as from private parties.

The evidence is allegedly linked to the corruption case under investigation, namely the development of the investigation into alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services within the Rejang Lebong Regency Government and other areas of Bengkulu Province.

The case under investigation is a development of an alleged corruption case involving project kickbacks in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari is one of the suspects.

There are private parties implicated in the Rejang Lebong Regency Government case who are suspected of being involved in bribery at Bengkulu City Government.

The KPK has also carried out a series of searches to find evidence.

The home of the Head of the Bengkulu City PUPR Agency was among those searched.

From there, investigators found and seized cash amounting to Rp4 billion.

In handling this alleged corruption case in Bengkulu City, the KPK is using a general Investigation Order (Sprindik). Suspects will be sought and named as the process continues.
