KPK to Question Rudy Tanoe as a Suspect in the Social Assistance Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that it will question the Commissioner of PT Dosni Roha Logistik (DNRL), Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo, as a suspect in the alleged corruption case involving the distribution of social assistance rice.
This confirmation was made by KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo, following the decision by Judge Lukman Ahmad of the South Jakarta District Court, who rejected Rudy Tanoe’s pre-trial motion on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Previously, the KPK had stated that it was awaiting the outcome of the pre-trial process before questioning Rudy Tanoe.
“Yes, the investigators will certainly schedule a time to request information or conduct an examination of suspect RT [Rudy Tanoe],” said Budi at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (February 25).
Furthermore, Budi confirmed that investigators will also summon other suspects and witnesses who are believed to be involved in the alleged corruption case.
“This includes the other suspects. We will also thoroughly investigate the practices on the ground to understand the distribution process,” Budi added.
“This also includes the corporate entities, as there are corporate suspects in this case. We will further examine and strengthen the evidence of the unlawful acts committed by the corporations,” he continued.
Today, Wednesday (February 25), the KPK has scheduled an examination of Herry Tho, the Director of Operations of PT Dosni Roha Logistik from 2021-2024, in his capacity as a witness.
The KPK has named a total of three individuals and two corporations as suspects in the alleged corruption case involving the distribution of social assistance rice, which involves the Ministry of Social Affairs and PT Dosni Roha Logistik. The KPK has not yet disclosed the identities of the suspects.
The anti-corruption agency has issued travel bans for four individuals with the initials ES, BRT, KJT, and HER (HT).
The travel ban was issued on August 12, 2025, and is valid for the next six months. The extension of the travel ban has been applied to all parties who have the status of suspects.
Based on the information gathered, the four individuals who are subject to the travel ban are Edi Suharto (formerly the Director-General of Social Empowerment & Director-General of Social Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Social Affairs), Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo, Kanisius Jerry Tengker (Director of PT Dosni Roha Logistik from 2018-2022), and Herry Tho (Director of Operations of PT Dosni Roha Logistik from 2021-2024).
