KPK to Question Husband and Children of Pekalongan Regent, Trace the Flow of Corruption Money

Jakarta, VIVA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it would summon the husband and children of Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq, who was previously named as receiving flows of money in a case of alleged corruption.

They are Mukhtaruddin Ashraff Abu (ASH), a member of the House of Representatives Commission X, as husband; and Muhammad Sabiq Ashraff (MSA) and Mehnaz Na (MHN), as children of Fadia Arafiq, a member of Pekalongan Regency DPRD.

‘Tentunya, penyidik akan melakukan pemanggilan kepada suami dan anak,’ KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters in Jakarta, on Friday, 6 March 2026.

Budi explained the summons relate to alleged money flows and/or management of PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB).

Earlier, on 3 March 2026, KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq together with aides and trusted associates in Semarang, Central Java.

Then, KPK announced the arrest of 11 others from Pekalongan, Central Java.

The sequence of arrests was part of KPK’s seventh catch-and-release operation (OTT) in 2026 and coincided with the Ramadhan month.

On 4 March 2026, KPK named Fadia Arafiq as a sole suspect in a case of alleged corruption related to outsourcing services or manpower procurement, and other procurements within Pekalongan Regency Government in the 2023-2026 financial year.

KPK said Fadia Arafiq was suspected of conflicts of interest due to establishing a family-owned company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya, which won several procurements within the Pekalongan Regency government.

Fadia Arafiq and her family allegedly received Rp19 billion from those contracts. Details: Rp13.7 billion personally enjoyed by her and her family; Rp2.3 billion shared with the director of PT RNB and the housemaid named Rul Bayatun; and Rp3 billion in cash withdrawals that have not yet been distributed.
