KPK to Probe Alleged Money Flows in Counterfeit Goods Case Involving Customs Chief

Jakarta (ANTARA) — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will further investigate the alleged flow of money in the suspected bribery and gratification case concerning the importation of counterfeit goods involving Director General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance, Djaka Budi Utama.

“Yes,” said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto at the KPK Juang Building in Jakarta on Friday.

He stated that the KPK had, for the time being up to 20 February 2026, not yet found evidence of alleged money flows to the Director General of Customs and Excise.

“It appears that, for now, there is nothing yet,” said Setyo Budiyanto.

Previously, on 4 February 2026, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance.

On the same date, the KPK revealed that one of the individuals arrested in the operation was the Head of the Western Sumatra Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Rizal.

On 5 February 2026, the KPK announced that six of the 17 individuals arrested had been named suspects in the alleged bribery and gratification case related to the importation of counterfeit goods within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise.

They are Rizal (RZL), serving as Director of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise for the period 2024 to January 2026; Head of the Intelligence Sub-directorate for Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Sisprian Subiaksono (SIS); and Head of the Intelligence Section at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Orlando Hamonangan (ORL).

Additionally, the suspects include the owner of Blueray Cargo, John Field (JF); Head of the Import Documentation Team at Blueray Cargo, Andri (AND); and Operational Manager of Blueray Cargo, Dedy Kurniawan (DK).
