KPK: To Obtain Unqualified Opinion, Pali Regent Allegedly Sought Help from BPK Member
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (Pali) Regent Asgianto sought assistance from BPK RI Member V Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi and a private party so that the regency government could obtain an unqualified opinion (WTP).
KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (18/8) said Asgianto is also suspected of seeking help from Augusz Dewanggara, also known as Angga, who is a suspect in the alleged bribery case involving the conditioning of BPK audit results in Muara Enim Regency.
“The Pali Regent requested assistance from Mr AG, who is also a suspect, and from Mr BB, who was previously summoned as a witness, regarding how Pali Regency could obtain a WTP opinion,” Budi said.
Budi said the KPK suspects the communication took place because the Pali Regency Government had not obtained a WTP opinion from the BPK for a long time. “The opinion was always WDP (qualified opinion),” he said.
Therefore, KPK investigators examined Asgianto as a witness in the alleged bribery case involving the conditioning of BPK audit results against the Muara Enim Regency Government on Tuesday. Based on data from the BPK Representative Office of South Sumatra, the Pali Regency Government received WDP opinions during the 2023-2025 period.
Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation on 7-8 June 2026 and secured several parties, including Muara Enim Regent Edison. On 9 June 2026, the KPK named four suspects in the alleged bribery case related to the procurement of goods and services and other receipts within the Muara Enim Regency Government for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
The four suspects are Edison, Secretary of the Muara Enim Education and Culture Office Abi Nurwardani, marketing employee of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi Cory Erin Hardi, and Adi Triyadi, who is Edison’s nephew.
The KPK then conducted a follow-up sting operation on 10 June 2026 and secured a civil servant from BPK RI. The operation became the KPK’s 13th sting operation in 2026.
On 11 June 2026, the KPK named five suspects in the alleged bribery case involving the conditioning of BPK audit results against the Muara Enim Regency Government for the 2025 fiscal year.
The five suspects are Edison, Cory Erin Hardi, Director of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi Fika Nur Alawi, private party Augusz Dewanggara, and BPK RI civil servant Titin Rita Lestari.
Augusz is suspected of having been an expert staff member of Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, while Titin previously served as Head of the Audit Team at the BPK Representative Office of South Sumatra. The KPK searched Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi’s residence on 13-14 July 2026 and seized a number of electronic evidence items. Bobby was then examined as a witness by the KPK on 16 July 2026.
