The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will analyse facts presented in a trial concerning alleged bribery in imports at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, which included claims of a Rp 21 billion (approximately SGD 1.8 million) payment to Director General Djaka Budhi Utama. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated on Monday (15/6/2026) that the analysis would be comprehensive and reported to the commission’s leadership. He noted that the facts emerging in court could be used to reinforce evidence in the ongoing case or serve as material for developing new investigations, particularly as the probe into one suspect, identified only as ‘B’, is still underway.

During a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Friday (12/6), PT BlueRay Cargo boss John Field testified about the payments, which were allegedly made in seven instalments of Rp 3 billion each starting in July 2025. Field confirmed the use of code names for recipients: ‘BC1’ for Director General Djaka Budhi Utama, ‘BC2’ for Director of Enforcement and Investigation Rizal, and ‘BC3’ for Intelligence Sub-Directorate Head Sisprian Subiaksono. He stated these codes were communicated verbally by Customs Intelligence Section Head Orlando Hamonangan. Rizal, Sisprian, and Orlando are named as suspects but have not yet been tried.

In the current case, three BlueRay Cargo executives—John Field, Operational Manager Deddy Kurniawan Sukolo, and Document Team Head Andri—are charged with providing a total of Rp 61.3 billion in Singapore dollar-denominated bribes, along with luxury goods and facilities valued at Rp 1.8 billion. Djaka Budhi Utama previously declined to comment extensively on the matter, urging the public to follow the court proceedings.
