The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will analyse the judge’s ruling that dismissed the suspect status of DPR Secretary General Indra Iskandar (IS). The KPK will evaluate the factors considered by the judge.

“Certainly, from this ruling, our legal bureau team will conduct an analysis and evaluation of all the legal considerations in the pre-trial judge’s decision, so that we can follow up accordingly,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK building in South Jakarta on Tuesday (14/4/2026).

Budi stated that the KPK is confident that the examination of witnesses and collection of material evidence have been fulfilled. Because, according to him, the judge’s considerations in the ruling will be studied to determine the investigators’ next steps in this case.

“We are confident in the material aspects related to handling this case, so from the judge’s ruling, how the legal considerations are, what the outcome is, we will study it,” Budi explained.

Budi also conveyed that it is not out of the question that the KPK will re-examine Indra in this case. However, all such steps still await the investigators’ analysis of the judge’s considerations in the pre-trial ruling.

“That possibility is open, so we will first study the judge’s legal considerations,” he clarified.

The KPK has denied collecting evidence after designating Indra Iskandar as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of procuring facilities and equipment for DPR members’ offices in the 2020 fiscal year. The KPK stated that it had already found two valid pieces of evidence at the investigation stage.

“When we conducted the preliminary investigation, we had already found those two pieces of evidence, so in accordance with the law, the KPK investigator reported it in the form of an LKTPK (Corruption Crime Incident Report). That was reported to the leadership, okay, it’s worthy to proceed to investigation,” said Acting Head of Litigation of the KPK Legal Bureau, Natalia Kristianto, after the pre-trial hearing at the South Jakarta District Court, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/4).

“That means, in the investigation of this case, we actually already had two pieces of evidence that we found during the preliminary investigation,” she added.

Indra’s lawyer expressed gratitude after the judge accepted the pre-trial petition and declared Indra’s suspect status invalid.

“Clearly, we appreciate that today, alhamdulillah, our petition’s petitum was granted,” said Indra’s lawyer, Yuniko Syahrir, at the South Jakarta District Court, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/4).
