KPK Team Visits Bima City Government Office at Night, What's Going On?

A Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) team conducted a working visit to the Bima City Government office in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) on Monday evening (31/8/2026). The presence of the anti-corruption agency’s team caused a stir as it took place at night.

Monitoring by detikBali on Facebook showed a number of residents questioning the purpose and objective of the KPK team’s visit to Bima City. In response, the Bima City Government confirmed the arrival of the KPK team. The agenda was related to corruption prevention coaching and evaluation within the Bima City Government.

“That is correct. However, the agenda is coaching and evaluation of the implementation of corruption prevention in Bima City,” said Bima City Government Spokesperson Muhammad Hasyim when confirmed by detikBali on Monday evening.

Nevertheless, Hasyim was unable to explain the KPK agenda in detail. However, based on the assignment letter submitted by the Inspectorate, the KPK team was present together with the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), and the NTB Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) in the context of evaluating the corruption prevention index.

“For further details, please confirm directly with the Regional Secretary, as the Person In Charge (PIC) for the team’s presence,” Hasyim explained.

Information gathered by detikBali at the location indicated that the KPK team conducted the coaching session in the Main Hall of the Bima City Government Office. In addition to senior Bima City Government officials, the coaching session was also attended by leaders and several members of the Bima City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD).
