KPK Targets Alleged Involvement of BPK Member V Bobby Adhityo in Bribery Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating an alleged bribery case concerning collusion over the audit results of the Muara Enim Regency Government’s financial report by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) Representative Office for South Sumatra. Through this effort, the KPK is probing the suspected involvement of other parties, including the alleged role of BPK Member V, Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi.
KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained that investigators are ensuring the case does not stop with the suspects already named in the Muara Enim case. The anti-corruption agency will therefore pursue other parties suspected of being implicated. "Regarding the case related to bribery for conditioning BPK audit findings, this will continue to be investigated. We have not stopped at this point; we will continue to trace and investigate because, naturally, when an alleged criminal act of corruption is uncovered, we want to get to the root of it," Budi said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Budi stated that the investigation runs parallel to the prosecution process against several suspects already charged by the KPK. These include private sector individual Augusz Dewanggara, also known as Angga, and the Head of the BPK South Sumatra Representative Audit Team, Titin Rita Lestari.
According to Budi, investigators are still examining the relationship between Angga and Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi. Angga is known to have previously served as an expert staff member for Bobby when the latter was a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Golkar Party faction. The KPK is attempting to uncover the reason behind the private sector’s influence regarding changes to the BPK audit results. "Why does this private party have access and power to request that individuals within BPK alter the audit results?" Budi asked.
He mentioned that investigators suspect the bribery case for conditioning audit results is connected to an alleged corruption case in the procurement of goods and services within the Muara Enim Regency Government. One project under scrutiny is the procurement of smart boards at the Muara Enim Regency Education and Culture Office, which has already led to Muara Enim Regent Edison being named a suspect.
The KPK is currently investigating whether the bribery practice in conditioning the audit results is related to obtaining an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the BPK. The KPK observes that the alleged bribery occurred after all stages of regional budget management were completed. "The bribery of the BPK audit also occurred after the accountability report. Because the entire process, from planning, budgeting, execution of projects, to accountability, was all finished. Then BPK came in to conduct an audit and there were findings. It was from these findings that the Muara Enim Regency Government then tried to change them by giving bribes to individuals within BPK," Budi stated.
Previously, the KPK named five suspects in a case of alleged corruption involving the receipt of gifts or promises. This relates to the audit of financial reports by the BPK at the Muara Enim Regency Government, South Sumatra, for the 2025 fiscal year. The suspects are Titin Rita Lestari, a civil servant and Technical Controller; Augusz Dewanggara alias Angga; Fika, Director of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi; Edison, Regent of Muara Enim for the 2025-2030 period; and Cory Erin Hardi, marketing officer at PT Millenium Solusi Abadi. The latter two had already been named suspects in an alleged bribery and gratuity case within the Muara Enim Regency Government.
