KPK suspects Maidi received 4-10 percent remuneration from Public Works Agency projects
Jakarta – The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that Maidi, whilst serving as Mayor of Madiun, received remuneration from projects at the Madiun Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR), East Java, amounting to 4–10 percent.
KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the commission further investigated the suspicions with six state civil servants (ASN) from the Madiun PUPR Agency on Wednesday.
“All witnesses were present. Investigators questioned the witnesses regarding allegations of project fees (remuneration) at the PUPR Agency for the benefit of the Mayor, ranging between 4 and 10 percent,” Budi told journalists in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The six ASN involved were DSN as Head of Water Resources Management Division, AS as Head of Road Development Division, GYP as Sub-coordinator for Road and Bridge Maintenance, HS as Head of Public Works Division, RS as Sub-coordinator for Building Arrangement, and SBM as Sub-coordinator for Building and Environmental Arrangement.
Previously, on 19 January 2026, the KPK conducted a covert operation against Maidi.
On the same date, the KPK revealed the operation against Maidi concerned project remuneration as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds in Madiun City.
On 20 January 2026, the KPK announced three individuals had been named as suspects following the operation: Madiun Mayor Maidi (MD), Rochim Ruhdiyanto (RR) as Maidi’s trusted associate, and Head of the Madiun Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency Thariq Megah (TM).
The KPK also announced two clusters in the alleged extortion case involving project remuneration and CSR funds, as well as other benefits or gratification within the Madiun City Government.
First, alleged extortion with suspects Maidi and Rochim Ruhdiyanto. Second, alleged gratification with suspects Maidi and Thariq Megah.
