Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that the President Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant, Ardiles, secured government projects worth a total of Rp2.1 billion after helping Zulkarnain bribe Kuantan Singingi Regent Suhardiman Amby for a promotion. Acting Director of KPK Investigations Achmad Taufik Husein stated that Ardiles is suspected of assisting Zulkarnain in obtaining the position of Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office of Kuansing in 2021. According to Taufik, Ardiles lent his identity so that Zulkarnain could apply for credit to purchase a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Dakar worth Rp700 million, which was then given to Suhardiman while he was still serving as Acting Regent of Kuansing. “ARD then won 13 projects at the PUPR Office in 2022 with a total value of Rp1.2 billion,” Taufik said at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, Wednesday. In the same case, Ardiles again lent his identity for a credit application to purchase a Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GR-S worth Rp2.05 billion, which was subsequently handed over to Suhardiman, who was by then serving as Regent. “ARD again won projects in several offices and the Kuansing Regional Secretariat in 2025 and 2026 with a value of more than Rp900 million,” Taufik stated. Based on preliminary findings, Ardiles is suspected of obtaining government projects with a total value of approximately Rp2.1 billion from 2022 to 2026 after helping Zulkarnain fulfil Suhardiman’s requests related to the job promotion. From this amount, five individuals were brought to the KPK’s Merah Putih Building for intensive examination, namely three private parties, a civil servant from the Kuantan Singingi Regency Government, and Suhardiman’s wife, Suci Nitia Edwar. The KPK subsequently requested Suhardiman and Zulkarnain to surrender on 30 June 2026. Both were later picked up by investigators at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. On 1 July 2026, the KPK named Suhardiman Amby, Zulkarnain, and Ardiles as suspects in the alleged bribery case related to the buying and selling of positions within the Kuantan Singingi Regency Government, Riau.
