The KPK has named an administrative staff member, Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto (DIS), as a suspect in the alleged corruption case involving Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro. The KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) will examine Setya.

“Certainly we will process this in accordance with applicable regulations, including whether it falls under the code of ethics,” said Dewas Chairman Gusrizal at a press conference at the KPK ACLC Building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Monday (3/8/2026).

Gusrizal said Setya is a KPK employee seconded from the National Police (Polri). He said Dewas is also studying whether Dias should be returned to Polri.

“The issue now is that the person concerned is a member of the National Police, so we need to be careful with this report. Whether he should be returned to the police, in which case Dewas would not have the authority to conduct an examination,” he said.

Dewas member Benny Mamoto said the investigation into the matter has been transparent. He said he had coordinated with a Deputy at the KPK so that Dewas could examine Setya.

“I have coordinated with the Deputy of Enforcement to arrange the schedule for the examination of Mr DI. Because Dewas needs as complete information as possible for us to study and analyse, to identify where the weaknesses lie as material for future improvement,” he said.

Previously, the KPK named Inspector Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto (DIS), an administrative staff member, as a suspect related to the sting operation against Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro. Setya is suspected of leaking information about the KPK investigation, which was used by his father, Lilik Budi Suprianto (LBS), to extort Anom.

“The person concerned, having some knowledge of administrative processes at the KPK, passed that information on to Mr LBS, his father,” said Acting Director of KPK Investigations Achmad Taufik Husein at the KPK building in Kuningan, Jakarta, on Thursday (30/7).

The information from Setya was used by Lilik to extort Anom. Lilik enticed Anom by claiming he could sort out the case at the KPK because his son worked there.

The KPK emphasised that the rogue employee will still face criminal proceedings. In addition, the KPK Supervisory Board will also be involved on the matter of ethical sanctions.

“Certainly we will process the criminal aspect under the law, and if it is proven, there will certainly be ethical sanctions, and we also have an Inspectorate, and possibly later with Dewas, because this is a KPK employee who is also bound by the code of ethics and code of conduct,” he said.

In total, four people have been named suspects and detained by the KPK, as follows:

  1. Anom Widiyantoro (AWI), as Regent of Pemalang

  2. Mohamad Haris (GHA), as a private party and the Regent’s confidant

  3. Lilik Budi Suprianto (LBS), as a private party

  4. Inspector Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto (DIS), as KPK administrative staff
