KPK Supervisory Board Receives 14 Ethics Complaints Against Employees Since January 2026, Two Sanctioned
The Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) Supervisory Board has received 14 complaints of alleged ethical violations by KPK employees since the beginning of 2026. Of that number, two individuals have been sanctioned.
“There are 14 ethics complaints and one ethics complaint which was received in 2025,” said KPK Supervisory Board member Sumpeno during the board’s first semester 2026 performance conference at the KPK ACLC Building in South Jakarta on Monday (3/7/2026).
He stated that eight complaints have proceeded to the analysis stage. Subsequently, five complaints have advanced to the clarification stage.
“Up to the analysis stage, there are eight. Then progressing after the analysis stage, namely the clarification stage or stage two. There are five complaints currently in the clarification stage and are still being resolved,” he noted.
Furthermore, two complaints have been decided in ethics hearings. One complaint resulted in a heavy ethical sanction, and the other a moderate sanction.
The heavy sanction involves delivering a direct public apology. Meanwhile, the moderate sanction involves an indirect public apology.
“Stage three is the ethics hearing stage. There have been two ethics hearings, one of which was a complaint from 2025. So, this one ethics hearing complaint was received by the Supervisory Board in 2025 but was tried in 2026,” he explained.
