KPK Summons Wife of Non-Active Rejang Lebong Regent in Bribery Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Intan Larasita, the wife of non-active Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari, for questioning as a witness in a bribery case that has ensnared her husband. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the examination would take place at the Bengkulu Provincial Representative Office of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). Intan was summoned alongside eight other witnesses.
The nine witnesses called for examination include Intan Larasita, a housewife; B. Daditama, former Deputy Chair of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Rejang Lebong and a former expert staff member for the local government; Zakaria Efendu, Head of the Education and Culture Office of Rejang Lebong; Zulman Karnain, a primary school headmaster; private entrepreneurs Sanusi Pane and Anton Doriska; Rendy Novian and Santri Ghozali, civil servants at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency; and Rian Adeko, Director of PT Saka Karya Perkasa and CV Salsabila Gemilang Abadi.
The KPK has named five suspects in the case. They are Muhammad Fikri Thobari, the Regent of Rejang Lebong for the 2025-2030 period; Hary Eko Purnomo, Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Agency (PUPRPKP) of Rejang Lebong; and three private sector individuals: Irsyad Satria Budiman of PT Statika Mitra Sarana, Edi Manggala of CV Manggala Utama, and Youki Yusdiantoro of CV Alpagker Abadi.
Regent Fikri is suspected of receiving a total of Rp 1.7 billion in bribes from several projects. The case originated when the Rejang Lebong Regency Government planned to undertake a number of projects in early 2026. KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu previously explained that the projects were under the Rejang Lebong Regency PUPRPKP Office, which had a total budget of Rp 91.13 billion. Asep stated that a project bribe commitment of Rp 980 million was given in stages through an intermediary, with the amounts from the three private parties differing. He also noted an alleged additional receipt by Fikri amounting to Rp 775 million, and suspected the acts were committed repeatedly.
