KPK summons two suspects in four ports case as witnesses
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned two suspects in the alleged bribery case for dredging navigation channels at four ports to appear as witnesses.
The examination is taking place at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building, involving IAT, a lecturer at the Jakarta Maritime College, and ISP, director of PT Bina Muda Adhi Swakarsa,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.
Based on information gathered, witness IAT previously served as the commitment-making official for the Tanjung Emas Port navigation channel dredging package in the 2016 fiscal year. Meanwhile, witness ISP is said to be involved in the projects at the four ports.
Previously, on 27 June 2024, the KPK announced the start of an investigation into the alleged corruption case involving dredging navigation channels at four ports.
The KPK has also named nine individuals as suspects in the case, initialled APK, DG, ISP, SO, IAT, AK, HR, OP, and SIG.
Meanwhile, the alleged corruption offence occurred in the following work packages:
Navigation channel dredging package at Tanjung Emas Port, Central Java, fiscal years 2015, 2016, and 2017,
Navigation channel dredging package at Samarinda Port, East Kalimantan, fiscal years 2015 and 2016,
Navigation channel dredging package at Benoa Port, Bali, fiscal years 2014, 2015, and 2016,
Navigation channel dredging package at Pulang Pisau Port, South Kalimantan, fiscal years 2013 and 2016.
