KPK Summons Two Riau DPRD Members and Aide to Regional Military Commander

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradability Commission (KPK) has summoned two members of the Riau Provincial Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) and an aide to the Commander of the XIX/Tuanku Tambusai Military Regional Command to be interrogated as witnesses in the investigation of an alleged extortion case within the Riau Provincial Government.

“The KPK has scheduled examinations for witnesses SYI and SA, as members of the Riau DPRD, as well as NA, the aide to Pangdam Tuanku Tambusai, at the Office of the Audit Board (BPK) Riau Representative,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.

Budi added that the KPK has also summoned two servers from the Riau Governor’s residence, identified by the initials ML and MSA, as well as NF, a housewife, to be examined as witnesses.

“The summons of these witnesses is in relation to the suspect MJN (Marjani),” he said.

Previously, on 3 November 2025, the KPK confirmed the arrest of the Governor of Riau, Abdul Wahid, and eight others in a sting operation.

On 4 November 2025, the KPK announced that the Riau Governor’s Expert Staff, Dani M. Nursalam, had surrendered himself to the anti-corruption agency.

On 5 November 2025, the KPK announced that the Governor of Riau, Abdul Wahid (AW), the Head of the Riau PUPRPKPP Department, M. Arief Setiawan (MAS), and the Riau Governor’s Expert Staff, Dani M. Nursalam (DAN), had been named suspects in an alleged extortion case within the Riau Provincial Government for the 2025 fiscal year.

Some time later, on 9 March 2026, the KPK announced that Abdul Wahid’s aide, Marjani (MJN), had been named a suspect in the case.
