KPK Summons Two Jasindo Employees After Detaining Four Suspects in Marine Insurance Corruption Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned two employees of PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Jasindo) after detaining four suspects in a corruption case. The case concerns the payment of commissions for marine hull insurance belonging to PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni) by Jasindo.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the two individuals, identified as IDS and AS, are scheduled for examination as witnesses at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta.

Previously, the KPK detained four suspects in the case. They are former Jasindo Marketing Director for the 2013–2018 period, Untung Hadi Santosa; Pelni’s Risk Management Manager for the 2012–2015 period, Eko Yuni Trianto; Director of PT Inovasi Vahana Indonesia for the 2015–2020 period, Yohanes Priyo Iriantono; and Commissioner of PT Nusantara Proteksi Mandiri, Zulchaibar.

The anti-graft agency stated that the suspects allegedly committed unlawful acts that resulted in state losses amounting to Rp15.602 billion. The KPK’s auditors are currently calculating the exact amount of state financial losses in this case.
