KPK Summons Six School Principals as Witnesses in Anom Widiyantoro Case
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned six school principals for questioning as witnesses in the alleged extortion case involving the inactive Regent of Pemalang, Anom Widiyantoro.
“The KPK has scheduled examinations for witnesses AWK, Principal of SMPN 1 Comal; UR, Principal of SMPN 2 Comal; AM, Principal of SMPN 1 Ulujami; TR, Principal of SMPN 2 Taman; MUK, Principal of SMPN 3 Taman; and SJ, Principal of SMPN 3 Petarukan,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.
Budi stated that the six principals are scheduled to be interrogated at the Semarang City Police Headquarters in Central Java.
Previously, on Monday (7/9), the KPK summoned Noor Faizah Maenofie, the wife of Anom Widiyantoro, a member of Anom’s 2024 regional election victory team with the initials IA, as well as two private individuals, TBA and RSA, for questioning as witnesses.
On Tuesday (8/9), the KPK summoned several witnesses, including the Chairman of Commission A of the Central Java Provincial DPRD, Imam Teguh Purnomo; the Head of the Pemalang Regency Health Office, Wiji Mulyati; a member of the Central Java Golkar Party Regional Executive Board with the initials TIS; Assistant II of the Pemalang Regency Regional Secretariat, Endro Johan Kuserm; the Sub-district Head of Pemalang, Prasetyo Widyatmoko; a civil servant at the Pemalang Regency Agriculture Office with the initials RMS; and a private individual with the initials DNU.
On Wednesday (9/9), the KPK summoned the Regional Secretary of Pemalang Regency, Bagus Sutopo; members of the Pemalang Regency DPRD, Nuryani and Fahmi Hakim; a housewife with the initials CAT; the Head of the General Division of the Pemalang Regency Regional Secretariat, Eko Daryanto; the Regent’s driver, IK; and the former Secretary of the Pemalang Regency Education and Culture Office, Basuki, all as witnesses.
The KPK also re-scheduled the examination of the wife of the inactive Regent of Pemalang, Noor Faizah Maenofie, on Monday (7/9). This included the examination of a member of the Supervisory Board of the dr. M. Ashari Pemalang Regional General Hospital, who also serves as the Head of the Mulyoharjo Community Health Centre.
The case originated from a sting operation (OTT) conducted by the KPK on 28 July 2026. One of those arrested during the operation was Anom Widiyantoro.
On 30 July 2026, the KPK announced the results of the sting operation and named four individuals as suspects in two clusters of alleged extortion.
The first cluster involves alleged extortion by Anom against the Pemalang Regency Government officials and private parties. In this cluster, the KPK named Anom and his trusted associate, Mohamad Haris, also known as Gus Haris, as suspects.
The KPK suspects that Anom, through Haris, requested money from several regional officials and private parties for personal gain. Haris allegedly collected funds totaling up to Rp1.98 billion.
The second cluster involves alleged extortion against Anom, involving Setya Budi Dias Oktavianto and his father, Lilik Budi Suprianto. Setya is a member of the National Police seconded as an administrative staff member at the KPK.
The KPK suspects that Setya provided information regarding the administrative process of case handling to Lilik. This information was allegedly used by Lilik to solicit money from Anom by offering to manage the case within the KPK.
