KPK Summons Secretary-General of the Ministry of Manpower in K3 Extortion Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Cris Kuntadi, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Manpower, to be questioned as a witness in the alleged extortion case related to the processing of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) certifications, on Wednesday (February 25).
This examination is to complete the case file of the suspects Chairul Fadly Harahap, Haiyani Rumondang, and Sunardi Manampiar Sinaga, who are officials and former officials at the Ministry of Manpower.
“The examination will be conducted at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building, with Cris Kuntadi as the person being questioned,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Wednesday (February 25).
In addition to him, the KPK has also scheduled examinations for three other witnesses.
They are Daafi Armanda, Head of the Building Construction Section of the Directorate of Supervision of Occupational Safety and Health (PNK3) at the Ministry of Manpower; Dayoena Ivon Muriono, a PPPK (Government Employee with a Contract) at the General Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Manpower; and the Head of SAV Money Changer.
The KPK has not detained the three suspects, but has imposed a travel ban for six months, effective from December 5, 2025.
One of the strong pieces of evidence found by investigators is the alleged flow of funds related to the processing of K3 to the suspects.
“This includes the flow of funds. Based on the ongoing investigation, through questioning the suspects and other witnesses, investigators are tracing where the alleged extortion funds related to the processing of K3 certifications flowed to, including to several individuals at the Ministry of Manpower, as well as the chain of command related to the alleged extortion,” Budi said some time ago.
“Therefore, in the development of this investigation, the KPK has designated these three new suspects,” he added.
The KPK had previously processed the cases of 11 suspects in the alleged extortion and/or gratification case related to the processing of K3 certifications.
The suspects include former Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer and Irvian Bobby Mahendro, who is the Commitment-Making Officer (PPK) at the Directorate General of Labour Supervision and Occupational Safety and Health (Ditjen Binwasnaker & K3).
Also included are Gerry Aditya Herwanto Putra, Coordinator of the Competency Testing and Evaluation Division for Occupational Safety in 2022-present; Subhan, Sub-Coordinator of Occupational Safety at the Directorate of K3 in 2020-2025; Hery Sutanto, Director of Institutional Development in 2021-February 2025; Anitasari Kusumawati, Sub-Coordinator of Partnership and Occupational Health Personnel in 2020-present; and Fahrurozi, Director General of Binwasnaker & K3 from March 2025-present.
Also included are Subkoordinator Sekarsari Kartika Putri, Coordinator Supriadi, Representative of PT Kem Indonesia Temurila, and Miki Mahfud, who is also from PT Kem Indonesia.
The cases of these individuals have been brought to court for examination and trial.
