KPK Summons Rejang Lebong Deputy Regent in Connection with Bribery Case Involving Regent Fikri Thobari

The KPK has summoned ten witnesses for examination in connection with the alleged bribery case ensnaring the inactive Regent of Rejang Lebong, Muhammad Fikri Thobari. One of those summoned by the KPK is the Deputy Regent of Rejang Lebong, Hendri (HRI).

“The KPK has scheduled the examination of witnesses related to the alleged criminal act of bribery for land clearing projects within the Rejang Lebong Regency Government (Pemkab), Bengkulu Province,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters on Wednesday (8/4/2026).

Hendri currently serves as Acting (Plt) Regent of Rejang Lebong. Hendri’s examination will be conducted at the Bengkulu Province BPKP Representative Office.

“HRI, Deputy Regent of Rejang Lebong,” he stated.

In addition to Hendri, here is the list of witnesses summoned by the KPK:

  1. Yuli Astika Sariwati, as a housewife

  2. B Daditama, as a self-employed individual

  3. Zakaria Efendi PNS, as Head of the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Dandis P dan K) of Rejang Lebong Regency

  4. Albenri Alpino, as a self-employed individual

  5. Rendra Putra, as a self-employed individual

  6. Miko Ade Patria, as a self-employed individual

  7. Rian Adeko, as a self-employed individual

  8. Amir Yusuf, as a self-employed individual

  9. Rendi Novian, as Head of General Sub-section of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Department (PUPRPKP) Rejang Lebong.

In this case, the KPK has designated five individuals as suspects. Here are the details:

  1. Muhammad Fikri Thobari, as Regent of Rejang Lebong 2025-2030;

  2. Hary Eko Purnomo, as Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Department (PUPRPKP) Rejang Lebong;

  3. Irsyad Satria Budiman, as a private party from PT Statika Mitra Sarana;

  4. Edi Manggala, as a private party from CV Manggala Utama;

  5. Youki Yusdiantoro, as a private party from CV Alpagker Abadi.

Regent Fikri is alleged to have received a total bribe of Rp 1.7 billion from several projects. The case began when the Rejang Lebong Regency Government was set to undertake several projects at the start of 2026.

KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, Asep Guntur Rahayu, explained that the projects are located in the Rejang Lebong Regency Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Department. Asep stated that the total budget for projects in the Rejang Lebong Regency PUPRPKP Department amounts to Rp 91.13 billion.
