KPK Summons Regional Officials and Council Members from Ponorogo

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned heads of regional government agencies and members of the Ponorogo Regency Council (DPRD) in East Java as part of its investigation into an alleged corruption case involving suspended Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko.

“The examinations took place at the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) Type A1 in Madiun, East Java, involving AS as Head of the Regional Revenue, Financial Management and Asset Agency (BPPKAD) of Ponorogo, IW as Head of the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) of East Java, DAP as Head of the Ponorogo Health Office, SJT as Head of the Ponorogo Communications, Information Technology and Statistics Office (Kominfo), and RSW as a member of the Ponorogo DPRD,” KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Friday.

Based on information gathered, the individuals are Ponorogo BPPKAD Head Agus Sugiarto (AS), East Java BKD Head Indah Wahyuni (IW), Ponorogo Health Office Head Dyah Ayu Puspitaningarti (DAP), Ponorogo Kominfo Head Sapto Jatmiko Tjipto Rahardjo (SJT), and Ponorogo DPRD member Relelyanda Solekha Wijayanti (RSW).

In addition, Budi said the KPK summoned the Head of the Economic Administration and Natural Resources Division of the Ponorogo Regional Secretariat, identified by the initials RWN, along with SUS, LKZ, and DF as private sector individuals, CYM as a housewife, and JKP and BT as civil servants.

Previously, on 9 November 2025, the KPK designated four individuals as suspects in the alleged bribery case related to position procurement, work projects at Dr Harjono Regional General Hospital in Ponorogo, and other receipts or gratification within the Ponorogo Regency Government.

The suspect designations were made following a sting operation (OTT) conducted in the Ponorogo area.

The four individuals were Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko (SUG), Director of Dr Harjono Regional Hospital Ponorogo Yunus Mahatma (YUM), Ponorogo Regional Secretary Agus Pramono (AGP), and Sucipto (SC) as a private sector party or contractor of the Ponorogo Regional Hospital.

In the alleged bribery cluster related to position procurement, the bribe recipients were Sugiri Sancoko and Agus Pramono, whilst the bribe giver was Yunus Mahatma.

For the alleged bribery cluster involving work projects at Ponorogo Regional Hospital, the bribe recipients were Sugiri Sancoko and Yunus Mahatma, whilst the bribe giver was Sucipto.

In the alleged gratification cluster within the Ponorogo Regency Government, the recipient was Sugiri Sancoko, whilst the giver was Yunus Mahatma.
