KPK summons private party in Mojokerto related to Sudewo case

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned a private party in Mojokerto City, East Java, related to the alleged extortion case implicating former Pati Regent Sudewo. “The examination is taking place at the Mojokerto City Police Station regarding ASA, a private party,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Monday. However, he has not confirmed whether the witness has complied with the summons today. Previously, on 19 January 2026, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) against Sudewo in Pati Regency, Central Java. On 20 January 2026, the KPK named four suspects in the alleged extortion case related to the appointment of village officials in Pati Regency. They are Sudewo, Abdul Suyono, Head of Karangrowo Village, Sumarjiono, Head of Arumanis Village, and Karjan, Head of Sukorukun Village. In addition, Sudewo has been named a suspect in an alleged bribery case for the construction and maintenance project of railway lines under the Directorate General of Railways, Ministry of Transportation.
