KPK Summons Ponorogo District Officials and DPRD Member in Regent Sugiri Bribery Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate the alleged bribery case ensnaring suspended Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko (SUG). The commission has now summoned Ponorogo District Legislative Council (DPRD) member Relelyanda Solekha Wijayanti along with a number of officials within the Ponorogo district government.
“The witnesses are connected to alleged bribery in the procurement of positions, project-related bribery, and gratification within the Ponorogo District Government,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists on Friday (20 February 2026).
Among the Ponorogo district officials summoned by the KPK are Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPPKAD) Agus Sugiarto, Head of the East Java Provincial Civil Service Agency Indah Wahyuni, and Head of the District Health Office Dyah Ayu Puspitaningarti. The witnesses were examined at the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) Type A1 in Madiun.

There are three clusters of alleged corruption ensnaring Sugiri. The first cluster involves alleged bribery related to the appointment of the Director of Harjono Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Ponorogo. The total sum allegedly given to Sugiri amounts to Rp 900 million.
In the second cluster, the KPK uncovered alleged bribery payments to Sugiri in connection with construction projects at RSUD Harjono Ponorogo in 2024. The hospital projects were valued at Rp 14 billion, with total alleged bribes reaching Rp 1.4 billion.
The third cluster concerns alleged gratification received by Sugiri. The KPK suspects Sugiri accepted gratification payments totalling Rp 300 million during the 2023–2025 period.
In total, four suspects have been named in the case:
- Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko (SUG)
- Ponorogo District Secretary Agus Pramono (AGP)
- Director of Dr Harjono Regional General Hospital Ponorogo, Yunus Mahatma (YUM)
- Sucipto (SC), a private sector partner of RSUD Ponorogo involved in work packages within Ponorogo District
