KPK summons Pekalongan Regency Inspector over Fadia Arafiq case
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Ali Riza (AR), the Inspector of Pekalongan Regency Government, as a witness in the investigation of a case of alleged corruption involving the Pekalongan Regent, Fadia Arafiq, who is currently suspended. ‘The testimony is from AR as Inspector of Pekalongan Regency,’ KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday. Budi said AR’s witness statement was requested to be heard at the Pekalongan Regency Government Office, Central Java. Earlier, on 3 March 2026, KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq along with her aide and trusted confidants in the Semarang area, Central Java. In addition, KPK also detained 11 other people in Pekalongan, Central Java. The sequence of arrests was part of KPK’s seventh arrest operation in 2026 and coincided with Ramadan 1447 AH. On 4 March 2026, KPK named Fadia Arafiq as the sole suspect in a case of alleged corruption related to the procurement of outsourcing services or labour outsourcing, and other procurements within the Pekalongan Regency government for the 2023-2026 financial years. KPK suspects Fadia Arafiq of involvement in a conflict of interest because she had her family-owned company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB), win several procurements within Pekalongan Regency. Fadia Arafiq and her family are said to have received Rp19 billion from those contracts. Specifically, Rp13.7 billion in net proceeds were enjoyed by the singer of the song ‘Cik Cik Bum Bum’ and her family, Rp2.3 billion was distributed to the Director of PT RNB and also to AR’s personal assistant named Rul Bayatun, and Rp3 billion remained as cash withdrawals yet to be distributed.
