KPK summons Ono Surono's wife in Ade Kunang case
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Setyowati Anggraini Saputro, the wife of West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman Ono Surono, as a witness in the investigation into the alleged corruption case involving suspended Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang.
“Today, Tuesday, the KPK has scheduled an examination of a witness in the alleged criminal corruption act related to the down payment bribery for the Bekasi Regency Government project,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his remarks in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Previously, the KPK stated that there was no intimidation by the anti-corruption agency towards Ono Surono’s wife during the search of Ono Surono’s home on 1 April 2026.
“No, there wasn’t,” Budi said in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Friday (3/4).
Budi explained that the search proceeded smoothly and well, and even Ono Surono’s family accepted it with open arms.
The KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) and arrested ten people in Bekasi Regency, West Java, on 18 December 2025.
On 19 December 2025, the KPK revealed that eight of the ten individuals were brought to the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta for intensive examination. Two of the eight were Ade Kunang and his father, HM Kunang.
On the same date, the KPK announced the seizure of hundreds of millions of rupiah in the case allegedly related to bribery for projects in Bekasi Regency.
On 20 December 2025, the KPK named Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK), his father who is also the Head of Sukadami Village in Cikarang Selatan Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, HM Kunang (HMK), and a private party named Sarjan (SRJ) as suspects in the alleged bribery case.
The KPK stated that Ade Kuswara and HM Kunang are suspects in the alleged receipt of bribes, while Sarjan is a suspect in the alleged giving of bribes.
Meanwhile, on 15 January 2026, Ono Surono was examined as a witness. After being questioned by the KPK, he admitted to being asked about the flow of money related to the case.
On 1 April 2026, the KPK searched Ono Surono’s home in Bandung, West Java. Ono’s legal counsel, Sahali, on 2 April 2026, then claimed there was alleged intimidation carried out by the KPK against the wife of the West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman.
