The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned member of the House of Representatives and President of Borneo FC Samarinda, Nabil Husien Said Amin Al Rasyidi (NHS), for questioning as a witness in a suspected gratuity case related to coal production in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan.

“The KPK has scheduled the examination at the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, for NHS,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Besides Nabil Husien, Budi said the KPK had summoned 11 other witnesses for questioning in the investigation.

The case originated from the naming of Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita Widyasari, President Director of PT Sawit Golden Prima Hery Susanto Gun, and Commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama Khairudin as gratuity suspects on 28 September 2017.

Rita was suspected of receiving a bribe of Rp6 billion in connection with granting a location permit for an oil palm plantation to PT Sawit Golden Prima in Kupang Baru Village, Muara Kaman District.

On 16 January 2018, the KPK again named Rita and Khairudin as suspects in a suspected money laundering case.

Subsequently, on 19 February 2025, the KPK revealed alleged receipt of fund flows by Rita from the coal mining sector, valued at approximately 5 US dollars per metric tonne of coal.

On 19 February 2026, the KPK named three corporations as suspects in the gratuity case related to coal production in Kutai Kartanegara: PT Sinar Kumala Naga, PT Alamjaya Barapratama, and PT Bara Kumala Sakti.
