KPK Summons Kuansing DPRD Speaker in Bribery Case Against Regent Suhardiman
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned the Speaker of the Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Juprizal, for questioning as a witness in a bribery case implicating Kuansing Regent Suhardiman Amby. “The witness in the alleged corruption case related to bribery for filling local government positions or receiving gratuities in Kuantan Singingi Regency from 2021 to 2026, on behalf of JUP, Speaker of the Kuantan Singingi DPRD,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists on Wednesday (8/7/2026).
In addition to Juprizal, eight other individuals were summoned by the KPK for examination as witnesses. The questioning is being conducted at the BPKP Representative Office in Riau. The list of witnesses summoned includes: 1. Juprizal, Speaker of the Kuantan Singingi DPRD; 2. Fahdiansyah, Assistant I of Kuantan Singingi Regency; 3. Andri Yama Putra, Head of the Plantation Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency; 4. Ade Fahrer, Head of the Housing, Settlement Areas, and Land Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency; 5. Sigit Purnomo, Head of the Governance Section of Kuantan Singingi Regency; 6. Dasver Librian, Member of the Kuantan Singingi DPRD; 7. Marel Hendra, Head of the General Affairs Division of the Kuantan Singingi Regional Secretariat; 8. Deswan Antoni, Head of the General Affairs Division of the Kuantan Singingi Regional Secretariat; and 9. Syahferry, Head of Logas Tanah Darat Sub-district, Kuantan Singingi Regency.
Previously, the KPK had conducted searches at several locations related to this case. One of the premises searched was the Kuansing DPRD office. “The KPK also conducted a search at the DPRD office. There is an allegation that the collection process carried out by the Regent involved an intermediary,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/7). Budi has not yet detailed the intermediary in question, stating that investigators will further examine the role of the intermediary.
In this case, the KPK has named three individuals as suspects. The list includes: 1. Suhardiman Amby, Regent of Kuansing; 2. Zulkarnain, Regional Secretary of Kuansing; and 3. Ardiles, President Director of PT MIC. Suhardiman is suspected of receiving a bribe in the form of a Toyota Land Cruiser from Zulkarnain. The bribe was allegedly given to ensure Suhardiman would select Zulkarnain as Regional Secretary.
