KPK Summons Kuansing DPRD Speaker and Two Regency Officials

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Regency DPRD Speaker Juprizal and two officials from the Kuansing Regency Government for questioning as witnesses in an alleged bribery case involving inactive Regent Suhardiman Amby.

“The KPK has scheduled witness examinations at the Riau Province Teachers and Education Personnel Centre for JUP (Juprizal), MRD and MSR,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.

Budi said Juprizal would be questioned in his capacity as head of the Prima Sehati Village Unit Cooperative.

The two Kuansing officials are Mardansyah (MRD), head of the regency’s Population Control, Family Planning, Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Agency, and Masrul Hakim (MSR), head of the Kuansing Regional Revenue Agency.

Budi also said the KPK had summoned former Kuansing Regional Secretary Dedy Sambudi, former acting regional secretary Fahdiansyah, civil servants at the Kuansing Regional Secretariat identified by the initials DSA and AZ, a civil servant at the Regional Revenue Agency identified as HAP, and former regent’s special staff members identified as ARM and AC.

The KPK previously conducted a sting operation in Kuantan Singingi Regency and Jakarta on 29 June 2026.

On 1 July 2026, the KPK named Kuantan Singingi Regent Suhardiman Amby, Kuansing Regional Secretary Zulkarnain and Ardiles, president director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant, as suspects in an alleged bribery case involving the sale and purchase of public posts within the Kuansing Regency Government.

In addition to the alleged bribery, the KPK is also investigating suspected gratification related to efforts to secure the release of forest areas.
