Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Hamdani (HD), the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department of Mempawah Regency, along with five civil servants from the Mempawah Regency Government in West Kalimantan, as witnesses.

The examination is taking place at the West Kalimantan Regional Police headquarters for HD as the Head of the Mempawah PUPR Department, as well as HA, HP, AA, NH, and USN as civil servants,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Budi explained that Hamdani and the five civil servants are being examined as witnesses for the investigation into the alleged corruption case related to road improvement works at the Mempawah PUPR Department in the 2015 fiscal year.

Previously, the KPK stated that it had designated three individuals as suspects in the alleged corruption case at the Mempawah PUPR Department, consisting of two state officials and one private individual.

The KPK also conducted searches at 16 locations in Mempawah Regency, Sanggau, and Pontianak related to the investigation of the case, on 25–29 April 2025.

From those searches, the KPK seized a number of documents and electronic evidence items.

However, the KPK has not yet announced details regarding the case, including the suspects or the modus operandi.

Meanwhile, West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan was also summoned by the KPK as a witness in the case on 21 August 2025.

Ria Norsan was summoned for examination in her capacity as the former Regent of Mempawah.

Then, on 24–25 September 2025, the KPK searched the private and official residences of West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan and Mempawah Regent Erlina Ria Norsan.
