KPK summons graft suspect and wife of former East Java DPRD speaker in grant fund case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Bagus Wahyudiono (BGS), a suspect in the alleged corruption case involving the management of grant funds for community groups (pokmas) within the East Java Provincial Government for the 2019–2022 fiscal years, along with Fujika Senna Oktavia (FUJ), the wife of former East Java DPRD Speaker Kusnadi, for examination as witnesses.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Wednesday that the commission has scheduled witness examinations at the East Java Representative Office of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) for BGS and FUJ.
In addition to these two individuals, Budi said the KPK has also summoned HSA, JOS, FAR, and MBA, who are private sector parties, as well as ZAS, a former Head of the Meeting Subdivision of the East Java DPRD Secretariat for the 2021–2023 period, to be examined as witnesses in the case.
The development of this case is linked to a sting operation conducted against East Java DPRD Deputy Speaker for 2019–2024 Sahat Tua Simanjuntak in December 2022.
On 2 October 2025, the KPK announced the identities of 21 suspects in the case. However, on 16 December 2025, the KPK discontinued the investigation against one suspect because he had died, namely East Java DPRD Speaker for the 2019–2024 period Kusnadi.
The suspects are divided into two groups. Three suspects are accused of receiving bribes in the East Java grant fund case: East Java DPRD Deputy Speaker for 2019–2024 Anwar Sadad (AS), East Java DPRD Deputy Speaker for 2019–2024 Achmad Iskandar (AI), and Anwar Sadad’s staff member Bagus Wahyudiono (BGS).
Seventeen suspects are accused of giving bribes in the case: East Java DPRD member for 2019–2024 Mahfud (MHD), Sampang DPRD Deputy Speaker for 2019–2024 Fauzan Adima (FA), Probolinggo DPRD Deputy Speaker for 2019–2024 Jon Junaidi (JJ), private sector parties from Sampang Ahmad Heriyadi (AH), Ahmad Affandy (AA), and Abdul Motollib (AM), private sector party from Probolinggo who is currently an East Java DPRD member for 2024–2029 Moch. Mahrus (MM), private sector parties from Tulungagung A. Royan (AR) and Wawan Kristiawan (WK), former village head from Tulungagung Sukar (SUK), private sector parties from Bangkalan Ra Wahid Ruslan (RWR) and Mashudi (MS), private sector parties from Pasuruan M. As of 28 July 2026, the KPK has only detained eight of the 20 remaining suspects in the case. Those detained are Wawan Kristiawan, Sukar, Hasanuddin, and Jodi Pradana Putra for the bribery cluster involving Kusnadi, followed by Achmad Yahya, M. Fathullah, Ra Wahid Ruslan, and Moch. Mahrus for the bribery cluster involving Anwar Sadad and Bagus Wahyudiono.
