JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Heru Tri Noviyanto, the former Head of the Examination, Collection, and Assessment Section (P3) at the North Jakarta Madya Tax Office (KPP), as a witness in the alleged bribery case ensnaring North Jakarta Madya KPP Head Dwi Budi.

The examination was conducted at the KPK Merah Putih Building,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Monday (4/5/2026).

In this case, the KPK has named five individuals as suspects: North Jakarta Madya KPP Head Dwi Budi, Head of the Supervision and Consultation Section (Waskon) at North Jakarta Madya KPP Agus Syaifudin, and the Assessment Team at North Jakarta Madya KPP, Askob Bahtiar.

The five were caught in a Handcuff Operation (OTT) on Saturday, 10 January 2026.

“This case has advanced to the investigation stage, and after sufficient evidence was found, the KPK named five people as suspects,” said Asep in a press conference at the Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on 11 January.

The alleged bribery occurred after the North Jakarta Madya KPP identified a potential land and building tax (PBB) underpayment of Rp75 billion for PT Wanatiara Persada.

Feeling there was a discrepancy in the calculation, they filed an objection. Agus requested that the underpayment be reduced to Rp23 billion.

From that amount, Rp8 billion of it was a fee to be distributed by Agus to several parties within the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Taxes.

“However, PT WP objected to that demand and only agreed to pay a fee of Rp4 billion,” said Asep.

The KPK then charged Abdul Kadim and Edy under Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a of the Corruption Offences Law in conjunction with Article 20 of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code (KUHP).

Meanwhile, Budi, Agus, and Askob were charged under Article 12 letter a or letter b or Article 12B of the Corruption Offences Law in conjunction with Article 20 of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code (KUHP).
