KPK Summons Five Village Official Candidates and Nine Other Witnesses in Sudewo Case

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned five candidates for village official positions and nine other individuals to be witnesses in the investigation of alleged extortion involving the inactive Regent of Pati, Sudewo.

“The questioning will take place at the Semarang Police Headquarters, Central Java,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta, Thursday.

Budi said the five candidates for village official positions consist of UNM as a candidate for Village Secretary of Gadu, SR as a candidate for Head of General Affairs Section of Gadu Village, KUN as a candidate for Head of Planning Section of Gadu Village, AF as a candidate for Head of Financial Affairs of Perdopo Village, and SEW as a candidate for Head of Planning Section of Perdopo Village.

Then the other witnesses are ISM as the Head of Purworejo Village, SUG as the Head of Tambakharjo Village, AU as the Head of Sumbersari Village, WI as the Head of Sekarjalak Village, MZ as the Head of Wonosekar Village, SUK as the Head of Sumberagung Village, KUS as the Head of Sumbersari Village, SUG as the Head of Banyuurip Village, and EK as the Head of Service Section of Sumberejo Village.

Previously, on January 19, 2026, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) against Sudewo in Pati Regency, Central Java.

Furthermore, on January 20, 2026, the KPK brought Sudewo along with seven other people to the KPK’s Red and White Building, Jakarta.

On the same date, the KPK announced four suspects in the alleged corruption case related to extortion in the filling of village official positions within the Pati Regency Government.

They are Sudewo (SDW); Head of Karangrowo Village, Jakenan District, Abdul Suyono (YON); Head of Arumanis Village, Jaken District, Sumarjiono (JION); and Head of Sukorukun Village, Jaken District, Karjan (JAN).

In addition, the KPK announced Sudewo as a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to the construction and maintenance of railway lines within the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation.
