KPK Summons Five BPK Employees in Muara Enim Regent Bribery Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned five civil servants (ASN) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) today. They were called as witnesses in a suspected bribery case implicating the non-active Regent of Muara Enim, Edison, as a suspect. “The KPK has scheduled the examination of witnesses in the alleged corruption crime related to the audit of financial reports by the BPK in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Wednesday (15/7/2026). Budi has not yet explained the specific details to be investigated from the witnesses. The five witnesses summoned today are: 1. Ayub Amali, an ASN at BPK RI and member of the Central Review Team for the 2025 Muara Enim Regency LKPD Audit; 2. Roni Altur, an ASN at BPK RI and member of the Central Review Team for the 2025 Muara Enim Regency LKPD Audit; 3. Gunawan, an ASN at BPK RI and member of the Central Review Team for the 2025 Muara Enim Regency LKPD Audit; 4. Flora Anita Diassari, an ASN at BPK RI and member of the Central Review Team for the 2025 Muara Enim Regency LKPD Audit; 5. Argo Waskito, an ASN at BPK RI and member of the Central Review Team for the 2025 Muara Enim Regency LKPD Audit. Previously, Edison was arrested by the KPK in a sting operation (OTT) on Monday (8/6). The KPK subsequently named Edison a suspect on Tuesday (9/6). Besides Edison, the KPK named three other individuals as suspects following the sting operation. The suspects are: 1. Muara Enim Regent, Edison; 2. 2026 Secretary of the Education and Culture Office, Abi Nurwardani; 3. The Regent’s nephew, Adi Triyadi; 4. Marketing representative of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi, Cory Erin Hardi. The KPK suspects Edison received a bribe of Rp 500 million from Cory. The bribe was allegedly received through Abi Nurwardani. The bribe was suspected to be money for maintaining ‘good relations’ because PT MSA, as a smart board supplier, had secured a procurement project from the Muara Enim Regency Government in 2025. Additionally, Abi received cash deposits from other agency partners in Muara Enim. The KPK seized approximately Rp 1.9 billion in this case. On Wednesday (10/6), the KPK conducted a sting operation against five BPK ASN. The KPK stated this operation was still related to the alleged bribery within the Muara Enim Regency Government. The KPK suspects the Muara Enim Regent paid bribes to BPK officials regarding findings in the smart board procurement. The KPK then named five suspects in the case of alleged bribery from Edison to the BPK. The KPK revealed that BPK officials requested Rp 1.6 billion to alter the audit results. The five suspects in Edison’s second case are: 1. Angga, a private party; 2. Titin Rita Lestari, an ASN or Technical Controller; 3. Edison, the Regent of Muara Enim; 4. Cory Erin Hardi, marketing representative of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi; 5. Fika, a Director of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi. Most recently, the KPK searched the home of Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi (BB), a member of the Supreme Audit Agency’s (BPK) V division. Investigators secured a number of pieces of evidence from the search. “It is true, today investigators conducted a search at the residence of Mr. BB, located in the Jakarta area. During this search, investigators secured several electronic evidence items,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Tuesday (14/7).
