KPK Summons DPRD Chairman and Plantation Service Head in Kuansing Today
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled the examination of the Chairman of the Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Regency DPRD, Juprizal, and the Head of the Kuansing Plantation Service, Andri Yama Putra, for today, Wednesday (8/7). The examination will be conducted at the Representative Office of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) of Riau Province, in connection with the investigation into an alleged bribery case concerning the filling of regional apparatus positions or the acceptance of gratuities in Kuansing for the 2021-2026 period. “The examination is being carried out at the Riau BPKP Representative Office,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Wednesday (8/7).
On the same day, the KPK also scheduled the examination of seven other witnesses. They are Kuansing Assistant I, Fahdiansyah; Head of the Housing, Settlement Areas and Land Service, Ade Fahrer; Head of the Kuansing Governance Section, Sigit Purnomo; Member of the Kuansing Regency DPRD, Dasver Librian; Head of the General Affairs Section of the Kuansing Regional Secretariat, Marel Hendra and Deswan Antoni; and the Head of Logas Tanah Darat Sub-district, Kuansing, Syahferry.
The KPK is legally processing three suspects in the case uncovered through a Sting Operation (OTT). They are the Regent of Kuansing for the 2025-2030 period, Suhardiman Amby; the Regional Secretary of Kuansing, Zulkarnain; and the Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant, Ardiles. The suspects have been detained for 20 days until 20 July 2026 at the KPK Detention Centre Branch of the Merah Putih Building.
Suhardiman, as the recipient, is suspected of violating Article 12 letter a or letter b and/or Article 12 B of the Law on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption (UU Tipikor). Meanwhile, Zulkarnain and Ardiles, as the givers, are suspected of violating Article 605 or Article 606 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustments in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of the Criminal Code.
During the ongoing investigation, the KPK conducted searches in Kuansing Regency and Pekanbaru City on 4-6 July 2026. Investigators also searched the private and official residences of the suspects. In addition to the suspects’ offices and homes, searches were also conducted at several other houses related to the case, one of which was the home of the Head of the Plantation Service. Meanwhile, the search in Pekanbaru targeted an expedition office. From this series of searches, the KPK found documents and Electronic Evidence (BBE) that strengthened the proof. On Saturday, 4 July 2026, investigators also found evidence in the form of a 2023 Toyota Land Cruiser LC 300, which was a bribe item suspected to have been hidden in a vehicle storage warehouse in Pematang Siantar. Investigators found that the vehicle’s number plates had been changed.
