The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to probe the alleged extortion and gratification case involving the suspended Mayor of Madiun, Maidi. The KPK has summoned Ali Masngudi (AM), Deputy Speaker of the Madiun DPRD, as a witness.

Today, Thursday (5/3), the KPK scheduled a witness examination in the alleged criminal act of corruption involving extortion within the Madiun City Government, said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters, on Thursday (5/4/2026).

“AM is a member of the Madiun Regency DPRD,” he added.

In addition to Ali, the KPK summoned several other witnesses. The examinations took place at the KPPN Kota Madiun office.

“The examination was conducted at the KPPN Kota Madiun office,” he said.

Here is the list of witnesses summoned by the KPK:

  1. Sumarno, Head of the DPMPTSP Office, City of Madiun

  2. Martono, Civil Servant at the DPMPTSP Office, City of Madiun

  3. Afandi, Civil Servant at the City Environment Agency (Head of PSLB3)

  4. Fx Iwan Dwi Susanto, Civil Servant at the DPMPTSP Office, City of Madiun

  5. Ali Masngudi, Member of the Madiun Regency DPRD

  6. Sudandi, Head of BKAD, City of Madiun

  7. Daffa Syaddad Felix Rahajo Putra, Civil Servant (aide to the Mayor)

  8. Katon Nurharto, Civil Servant (aide to the Mayor)

KPK has named Maidi, the suspended Mayor of Madiun, as a suspect in the alleged extortion and gratuities case. The KPK revealed that Maidi demanded fees from business permits in Madiun.

“From the facts already found in the hand-catching incident yesterday, the Mayor also asked for a sum of money from parties handling permits in Madiun. The businesspeople, franchises, and there are hotels as well,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday (22/1).

KPK seized cash amounting to Rp 550 million in this case. The following are the suspects in this case:

  1. Regent of Madiun, Maidi

  2. Head of the Public Works and Public Housing Office (PUPR) City of Madiun, Thariq Megah

  3. Private party, Rochim Rudiyanto.
