The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Irawan Budi Waskito, a commitment-making official (PPK) at the Central Lampung Regency Health Office, as a witness in the alleged bribery and gratification case ensnaring suspended Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya.

“The witness is being called in connection with suspected corruption related to the procurement of goods and services within the Central Lampung Regency Government for the 2025 fiscal year,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters on Friday (20 February 2026).

Budi said Irawan was summoned for questioning at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, though he did not elaborate on the specific matters investigators would explore with the witness.

The KPK has previously begun investigating other income sources obtained by the suspended regent. One avenue of inquiry has involved requesting testimony from a number of witnesses.

“Investigators are looking into alleged money flows and other income received by the Regent. This is being explored through the testimony of parties who were previously summoned and asked for their explanations,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters at KPK headquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday (10 February).

The witnesses examined by the KPK to investigate Ardito’s additional income include Andi Carda, Secretary of the Central Lampung Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM); Agustam, an entrepreneur; and Sandi Harmoko, also an entrepreneur.

In this case, the KPK has named a total of five suspects. The commission alleges that Ardito demanded fees of 15 to 20 per cent on a number of projects in Central Lampung since his inauguration in February 2025.

The KPK alleges that Ardito directed Central Lampung Regional Council (DPRD) member Riki Hendra Saputra (RHS) to rig the winners of goods and services procurement across several agencies. The procurement contracts were allegedly required to be awarded to companies owned by Ardito’s family members or his campaign team from the Central Lampung regional election.

Ardito is alleged to have received fees totalling Rp 5.25 billion from various contractors through Riki and Ranu Hari Prasetyo, Ardito’s younger brother. The funds were allegedly received between February and November 2025.

Ardito is also alleged to have received Rp 500 million from a medical equipment procurement. The KPK suspects the money was used for the Regent’s operational funds amounting to Rp 500 million, as well as to repay a bank loan taken out during the election campaign totalling Rp 5.25 billion.
