JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned businessman Robert Priantono Bonosusatya as a witness in connection with the alleged gratification case involving former Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita Widyasari (RW).

The examination is being conducted at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a statement on Thursday (2/4/2026).

According to Kompas.com records, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) previously searched Robert Bonosusatya’s home in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, related to the corruption case implicating former Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita Widyasari (RW).

The search took place on 14-15 May 2025, from 8:00 p.m. WIB until it concluded at 1:00 a.m. WIB.

In addition to the house, the KPK also searched six vehicles located at the residence.

“A sum of money in Indonesian rupiah amounting to Rp 788,452,000, 29,100 Singapore dollars, 41,300 US dollars, and 1,045 pounds sterling,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Friday (16/5/2025).

“Those documents, BBE, and money will be further investigated by the KPK,” he stated.

Previously, the KPK stated that former Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) Regent Rita Widyasari (RW) received a share of 3.3 to 5 US dollars for every metric tonne of coal mined.

KPK Acting Deputy for Investigation and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu said that this share constitutes the alleged gratification received by Rita from mining companies.

“One can imagine, as those companies can produce millions of metric tonnes from their exploration results. Multiply that,” said Asep to reporters on 7 July 2024.

The one-star police general stated that in investigating the alleged money laundering offence (TPPU) case of Rita, the KPK will trace the flow of corruption proceeds wherever it leads.

For that reason, the KPK conducted forced measures in the form of searches at several locations and seized economically valuable items.

This includes examining mining businessmen as well as the Chairman of the Provincial Association (Asprov) of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) for East Kalimantan Province, Said Amin (SA).

“So, several people have already been summoned, including Mr SA who was called yesterday and others that we will summon later related to that metric tonne matter,” Asep explained.
