KPK Summons BPK Auditor in Ongoing Railway Project Corruption Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned an auditor from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) as a witness in the ongoing corruption investigation into railway line projects. The witness, Ahmad Fahmi, served as a BPK auditor for the 2022-January 2026 period and was questioned at the East Java BPKP office on Thursday (13/8/2026).

In addition to the BPK auditor, investigators also summoned Denny Michels Adlan, Head of the Surabaya Railway Engineering Centre, a government employee from the Surabaya Class 1 Railway Engineering Centre, and three private individuals: Sugiri Heru Sangoko, Yulianto Pamungkas, and Angelica Dwi Susanty.

The case, which originated from a sting operation, has seen the KPK name 21 suspects. They include Dion Renato Sugiarto, Director of PT Istana Putra Agung; Muchamad Hikmat, Director of PT Dwifarita Fajarkharisma; Yoseph Ibrahim, former Director of PT KA Manajemen Properti; Parjono, former VP of PT KA Manajemen Properti; and Asta Danika, Director of PT Bhakti Karya Utama. Other suspects are Harno Trimadi, former Director of Railway Infrastructure; Bernard Hasibuan, a commitment-making official at the Central Java Railway Engineering Centre; Putu Sumarjaya, Head of the Central Java Railway Engineering Centre; Achmad Affandi, a commitment-making official at the South Sulawesi Railway Engineering Centre; and Fadliansyah, a commitment-making official for Railway Infrastructure Maintenance. The list also includes Sudewo, a former member of the House of Representatives’ Commission V, and Eddy Kurniawan Winarto, an entrepreneur.

Most of the named suspects have already been convicted. The investigation recently saw a development with the return of funds by Robby Kurniawan, a former expert staff member to the Minister of Transportation, though details regarding the connection of these funds to the case remain undisclosed.
