KPK Summons 8 Cilacap Regency Officials in Regent Extortion Case

Budi explained that the eight Cilacap Regency officials summoned today include heads of divisions from the Education Office and the Agriculture Office. Budi did not detail what the investigators are probing from the witnesses. “The examination is being conducted at the Cilacap Police Resort office,” Budi clarified. Fajar Dinar Woko, Head of the Facilities and Infrastructure Division, Cilacap Regency Education and Culture Office 3. Budi Kuspriyanto, Head of the Early Childhood Education and Community Education Division, Cilacap Regency Education and Culture Office 4. Sumiyarto, Staff of the Cilacap Regency Education and Culture Office 5. Mahbub Junaedi, Secretary of the Cilacap Regency Agriculture Office 6. Nur Kholis, Head of the Facilities and Infrastructure Division, Cilacap Regency Agriculture Office 7. Slamet Sugiono, Head of the Livestock and Animal Health Division, Cilacap Regency Agriculture Office 8. Amri Arafa, Head of the Horticulture Division, Cilacap Regency Agriculture Office In this case, the KPK has designated non-active Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman along with Cilacap Regency Secretary Sadmoko Danardono (SAD) as suspects in the alleged extortion case. The two are charged under Article 12 letter e and/or Article 12B of the Corruption Eradication Law. They are suspected of forcing regency officials to contribute money for THR ahead of Eid al-Fitr. The KPK seized Rp 610 million during the raid on Syamsul and associates. Syamsul had set a target for obtaining THR funds to be distributed among the Forkopimda, with the target reaching up to Rp 750 million.
