KPK Summons 55 Outsourcing Workers as Witnesses in Fadia Arafiq Corruption Case

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned 55 outsourcing or contract workers as witnesses in the alleged corruption case ensnaring former Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq.

“The examination of the 55 witnesses will take place at the Pekalongan City Police Resort in Pekalongan, Central Java,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.

Budi stated that the 55 witnesses are outsourcing workers at the Pekalongan Regency Transportation Department, the Pekalongan Regency Civil Service Police Unit and Firefighting Unit, the Pekalongan Regency Education and Culture Department, the Pekalongan Regency Communication and Informatics Department, and the Pekalongan Regency Youth, Sports, and Tourism Department.

Additionally, there are outsourcing workers at the Pekalongan Regency Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Labour Department, the Pekalongan Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Department, the Pekalongan Regency Industry and Trade Department, and the Pekalongan Regency People’s Housing and Settlement Areas as well as the Environment Department.

Furthermore, outsourcing workers at the Pekalongan Regency Regional Secretariat, the Pekalongan Regency Social Department, the Kraton Pekalongan Regional General Hospital, and the Kajen Pekalongan Regional General Hospital.

This series of arrests is part of the KPK’s seventh hand-catching operation (OTT) in 2026, coinciding with the month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.

On 4 March 2026, the KPK designated Fadia Arafiq as the sole suspect in the alleged corruption case related to the procurement of outsourcing services or contract workers, and other procurements within the Pekalongan Regency Government for the 2023-2026 fiscal years.

The KPK stated that Fadia Arafiq is suspected of involvement in conflicts of interest by having her family’s company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB), win several procurements within the Pekalongan Regency Government.

Fadia Arafiq and her family are said to have received Rp19 billion from those procurement contracts. The breakdown includes Rp13.7 billion purely enjoyed by the singer of the song “Cik Cik Bum Bum” and her family, Rp2.3 billion distributed to the Director of PT RNB who is also a household assistant named Rul Bayatun, and Rp3 billion from cash withdrawals that have not yet been distributed.
