Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned at least 10 witnesses in connection with the alleged bribery case involving inactive Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari.

“The examination of the ten witnesses will take place at the Bengkulu Provincial Representative Office of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP),” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.

Budi explained that the ten witnesses consist of private sector individuals and civil servants (ASN).

The private sector witnesses summoned, he continued, are YZM as Director of CV Finas Bersaudara, MHA as Deputy Director of CV Alpagker Abadi, and IM as an employee of PT Statika Mitra Sarana and PT Pebana Adi Sarana.

Meanwhile, the ASN witnesses summoned are members of working groups within the Rejang Lebong District Government in Bengkulu. Those summoned have the initials FF, AF, WS, LM, AA, NS, and SDM.

Previously, on 9 March 2026, the KPK arrested Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari, Deputy Regent Hendri, and 11 others in a sting operation (OTT) related to alleged bribes for projects within the Rejang Lebong District Government in Bengkulu.

On 10 March 2026, the KPK brought the regent and deputy regent of Rejang Lebong, along with seven others, to Jakarta for intensive examination.

On the same day, the KPK announced Muhammad Fikri Thobari as one of five suspects in the alleged criminal corruption case involving bribery.

On 11 March 2026, the KPK announced the identities of the suspects, namely Muhammad Fikri Thobari (MFT), Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Area Department of Rejang Lebong Hary Eko Purnomo (HEP), Irsyad Satria Budiman (IRS) from PT Statika Mitra Sarana, Edi Manggala (EDM) from CV Manggala Utama, and Youki Yusdiantoro (YK) from CV Alpagker Abadi.

The five suspects are alleged to be involved in bribery related to advance payments for projects within the Rejang Lebong District Government in Bengkulu for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.

The KPK suspects that Muhammad Fikri Thobari demanded project kickbacks of around 10–15 percent from the three private individuals. The money is alleged to have been used for certain interests, including plans for distributing holiday allowances (THR).
