Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) states that Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo (GSW) possesses records regarding the ‘debts’ of heads of regional government agencies (OPD) within the Tulungagung Regency Government, East Java.

KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu explained that these records pertain to requests for certain sums of money that have not been fully provided by the OPD heads to Gatut Sunu.

“He has these records, this OPD owes how much to Regent GSW,” Asep said at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Saturday (11/4) evening.

Therefore, he stated that Gatut Sunu treats each OPD in Tulungagung as if they are in debt.

“For OPDs that have not provided the money as requested by GSW, they will continue to be pursued and treated like debtors,” he said.

“If YOG cannot do it, he usually instructs another aide, namely SUG as the regent’s ADC or adjutant, who plays a role in fulfilling the requests by contacting or pursuing the OPD heads when GSW has a need,” he added.

Furthermore, he explained that the collection of these ‘debts’ is only done when Gatut Sunu requires it.

“So, whenever there is a need, personal needs, buying something or going somewhere, needing money for GSW, YOG immediately collects it,” he said.

Previously, the KPK conducted a raid operation (OTT) in the Tulungagung area, East Java, on 10 April 2026.

The KPK arrested 18 people in that OTT, including Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo and his younger brother, who is also a member of the Tulungagung DPRD, Jatmiko Dwijo Saputro.

A day later, on 11 April 2026, the KPK brought Gatut Sunu Wibowo and his brother, along with 11 others, to Jakarta for intensive examination.

On the same date, the KPK named Gatut Sunu Wibowo (GSW) and his aide Dwi Yoga Ambal (YOG) as suspects in the alleged extortion and other receipts case within the Tulungagung Regency Government for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
