KPK States Ono Surono Was at Home During Search

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman Ono Surono was at his home when the KPK team conducted a search on Wednesday (1/4/2026).

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said that Ono Surono must be aware of the evidence secured by investigators.

“Because, of course, in the course of the search activities, when evidence is secured and seized, it is also with the knowledge of ONS (Ono Surono),” said Budi at the Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday.

Budi explained that the search at Ono’s residence was conducted in connection with suspicions of money flows from the suspect in the Bekasi Regency bribery case for the ijon project, Sarjan, to Ono.

Previously, the KPK searched the home of West Java DPRD Deputy Chairman Ono Surono, located in Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday (1/4/2026).

The search relates to the alleged bribery case for the ijon project in Bekasi Regency, which implicates the suspended Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang.

Budi said that the search activity is still ongoing.

“We will update on its developments,” he stated.
