KPK States Cilacap Police Chief Among Regional Leadership Forum Members to Receive Holiday Allowance from Regent
Indonesia’s Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) has revealed that one member of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) planned to receive a Holiday Allowance (THR) from Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman is Cilacap Police Chief Budi Adhy Buono.
“One of the forkopimda members is the police chief there (in Cilacap),” said KPK Deputy for Investigation and Prosecution Asep Guntur Rahayu at the Red and White Building of the KPK in Jakarta on Saturday evening (14 March).
For this reason, Asep explained that the KPK decided to examine 27 individuals arrested in a sting operation (OTT) in Banyumas Regency, Central Java.
“That is why no examination was carried out at Cilacap Police Station to avoid conflicts of interest. We moved to Banyumas,” he said.
Previously, on 13 March 2026, the KPK announced its ninth sting operation in 2026, which was also the third during Ramadan.
In the sting operation, the KPK team arrested Syamsul Auliya Rachman along with 26 other individuals and seized cash in rupiah.
A day later, on 14 March 2026, the KPK named Syamsul Auliya Rachman and Cilacap Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardono as suspects in a case of alleged extortion and other forms of bribery in the Cilacap Regency Government, Central Java, for the 2025–2026 budget year.
In this case, Syamsul is alleged to have targeted collecting funds of up to Rp750 million through extortion. The funds were planned to be divided into Rp515 million for holiday allowances for members of the Cilacap Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, whilst the remainder was for personal interests.
However, at the time the sting operation was conducted, the funds successfully collected had only reached Rp610 million.
Cilacap Regent Syamsul Auliya Rachman, from the National Awakening Party (PKB), is recorded as having net assets of approximately Rp12.03 billion based on the 2025 State Organiser Wealth Statement Report (LHKPN).
